The Girls of Power Network
The Young Women's Auxiliary and the "Girls of Power" of St. John’s Baptist Church moving by the spirit of the Lord came together in a shared vision to equip and empower our young ladies for a life of service with God's church and the community. With this mission in mind, The "Girls of Power" decided to reach out to the community in a collaborative effort to share our vision. As a result of this decision, we formed the Girls of Power Network. The Girls of Power Network is an alliance of parents, churches of different denominations, and pro-family organizations across South Carolina established in June 2006 with the mission to significantly decrease the negative statistics surrounding girls. The Girls of Power Network is a non-profit, faith-based organization with the belief that the answers to the social problems plaguing our girls are rooted and have always been rooted in ageless Christian principles. It is our goal to use educational and recreational methods to increase the awareness and knowledge of young ladies ages 4 to 20 years so that they are motivated to live with Christ-like standards promoting successful, positive futures.
